About G-Force
G-Force members visit area high schools and work closely with 9-12th grade students to create a "college-going culture." We teach students how to enroll in any college or university.
G-Force is a registered student organization at UNT with defined roles as established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as part of the College for Texans Campaign. UNT G-Force members develop and supervise Go Centers at North Texas area high schools and make regular visits to the schools to meet with students and provide college enrollment guidance and support, academic tutoring and mentoring. G-Force members work closely with high school administrators, counselors and student leaders to ensure the success of the program.
The G-Force and Go Center Outreach Initiative is supported by a $310,000 Work-Study Student Mentorship Program Grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
